It's Christmas, but Santa didn't give me what I asked for: a house in Brooklyn.
Maybe once we finish "settling in" (how long does that take, anyway??), we'll have more fun. Right now, Nestle & I have a dog walker who comes by during the week and takes us to a wooded area near the house and we get to run around and sniff the trees and stuff. She has a couple of other dogs with her, so it's okay. It ain't Prospect Park, tho.
There are wild animals around here like raccoons and skunks, but I haven't tackled any yet. Louise says if I tussle with a skunk in the backyard, she'll make me stay out on the sun porch. Thelma has a couple of quarts of hydrogen peroxide, a 12-lb. bag of baking soda and a full bottle of shampoo ready in case that happens. I guess she's going to scrub the entire backyard. I don't blame her--skunks smell really bad. I'd hate to have that smell in the house.
